Look out, Third Eye Blind, DIVE is on their way to climbing up the charts!
DIVE, a band stationed in Northern New Jersey, was formed in 2003 and has been getting noticed ever since by radio stations and various venues.
"Me and a bunch of friends… found the right group of guys to play Dive," explains vocalist Jon Sitar, when asked how the band formed.
Their lyrics are original and stem from personal experiences, giving them relatable lyrics as they talk about loves lost to others in "Gone" and indescribable feelings in "All I Know."
The alternative hard rock and melodic vocals separate this band from all the typical bands playing on the radio today.
Andy Zapella rocks out on the drums, dazzling crowds at concerts with his amazing skills and his fast-paced drumming and standing out on the CDs.
Guitarists Jeff Moczydlowski and Evan Canova tower over the stage as they concentrate on the strings and play chords that help make the music come together and come alive.
Bassist Brian Weaver takes control over his instrument, adding the smooth, deep sounds underneath the music.
Vocalist Jon Sitar's voice, reaching a wide range of notes, makes listeners want to dance and his stage presence gets the crowd into every concert, making them want to attend more.
DIVE started out as a small band on October 3, 2003, and now proudly gets to hear themselves on 93.3 FM, Pennsylvania's own WMMR, where their songs, "Change" and "Take You There," command the air waves.
"[It was] a dream come true," Sitar said.
The band was excited to hear themselves and tell everyone to listen to them.
Sitar explains the band has proudly played with bands such as 3 Days Grace, Hinder, and Sum 41.
They have also played at the Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown, The Theater of Living Arts (TLA) in Philadelphia, the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ and the Mercury Lounge in New York City.
DIVE's music is available through their Myspace, http://www.myspace.com/dive, iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, FYE.com and anywhere on the Internet.
