Mesa states that at first, the movie "might be stressful to watch." But at the same time she also explains that it is interesting in its historical context.
Dr. Michelle Schmidt, Director of Academic Leadership Program, says the Reel
Leadership started in Spring 2005.
"We read about it somewhere that someone else did it and we adopted it for Moravian," she explains.
Schmidt states that this semester, the Reel Leadership program has focused on different languages. The faculty decides what films they wish to showcase for the college.
"[We try to show] leadership from some perspective. We ask, 'How can one person make a difference?'" Schmidt said.
The faculty will usually show something that they feel passionate for or have an interest in.
Typically, the program shows two to four movies per semester. It depends on a host of things, mostly availability, scheduling and other practical reasons.
In order to participate in the program, one must RSVP to the e-mails so that the discussion remains small.
"I look for 10-12 students... but we've had as many as 30 students with a faculty member," explains Schmidt.
Students can also recommend movies if they wish. The panel for the Reel Leadership program is always open to new ideas.
Since everyone can relate to movies and mostly enjoy watching them, the Reel Leadership program is able to bring together everyone in a good setting and hopefully start an intellectual conversation that the students will be comfortable with.

Excuse, that I can not participate now in discussion - it is very occupied. I will be released - I will necessarily express the opinion on this question. (Continued…)
